 TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORN

 

When the path way of your journey turns narrow,

Don’t fly away like that black sparrow.

Never- allow your mind to grow a frown.

Take the bull by the horn.

 

Should you allow your day to turn into a nightmare?

Arouse yourself to be aware;

For the purpose you were born.

And take the bull by the horn.

 

Happy is the man who stood his ground.

And flew his banner of victory around.

When insults shot at his frame on and on

Know he took the bull by the horn.

 

Anything that is a trouble to your soul

Even that grey haired lady who is so old,

Her words will wilt away with scorn,

If- you take the bull by the horn.

Thank you My friend , I appreciate the encouragement, I love writing poems but I do lose my zeal at times so I retreat. So when you don't see me around it is because ........

You know all my poems are based on live experiences. This poem was inspired by an issue with a head nurse and a student nurse. This particular head Nurse, on many occasions addressed those who are of low in rank in the profession very bad, she embarrassed them in front of every one around. I even got my share. So one day student nurse was talking about her encounter with her and I felt her suffering. So I wrote this poem, The name of this piece was there months ago, but I did not had a poem for it. Until that day

Good to rest. I wrote 300 poems last year and this year. I will write more story and poetry. I have been reading the ancient writers. They gave me reasons to write. Jack London, Dryden and Ben Jonson.

This is full of positivity. When we encounter problems especially about people, we should not give up. We should go for what we aim, dive in and face the music.
People whom we are not fond of are not always wrong. Sometimes we also have to listen...take the good thing and throw away bad things about them.
