Writer's Cafe Block

Writer's Cafe Block

A Story by MoriartyMesa
"

Ever find yourself blocked cause you happen to be an honest joe punchin the 9-5 ticket and maybe askin if someone is pushin a bit?

"
So you there on your last smoke and bit of something, something that keeps asking you when your gonna bump the lab top, kill the lights, light that smoke and embrace. Now maybe I should make some sort of effort to reply to every single review I write, but no one really needs that.

And all of a sudden you hit this road block, a truck load of bricks hit the road right as your hitting the engine for all it is worth and you ask, 'Do i move for the load or will it move for me?'

To translate, there is something warm, aching for your touch and looking at you with star struck eyes and you find your blocked. Now, granted, A lot of my reviews tend to have a shade of mystery and tend to have 6 or 9 lessons inside them, but I have never once sat in my chair getting the wicked eye from a lady waiting like a goddess, have I ever try to knock someone for their art and I hate to say I am in a petty mood to ask why someone would BLOCK ME? What really brings me down is the fact, I, Moriarty Mesa, the shunned brute of this online society must come out and actually defend myself.

In so many ways my ego has it a new low, but I am used to being in that low. A grunt knows how to get around, a beast hahahahaha, this is actually funny to me. You see, when you have had your ribs kicked in, skull broken three times. When you made it through a score or sixteen of face to face pain, hate, pain, aggression, fear, loss, wins, draws, well maybe you can see how funny it is.

So for anyone that get's stuck in my part of the patch, where you get blocked by some high hat who don't like what you may have wrote, thought, reviewed, or even believed. Well you just make sure that nothing keeps you from experiencing your mind. Now some may not like what you have to say, they will knock you down and make themselves far above what they 'think' you are. But remember some folk make the attempt to be honest, some might be hard as nails, but that is the world.

In the mean time, this was a request by someone waiting on me and giving me the evil eye, enjoy the song.

I would only ever block someone for harrasment. Its happened to us all I expect at some point or another...always someone who deems fit to see themselves above others...life...sure is a ride at times.

Yea...it doesn't make sense.

I had some guy block me after a reviewed a couple of his poems. I only said good things too, and he had even written a piece specifically for a contest of mine. Then he up and blocks me out of nowhere. There was no warning, no word on what, if anything, I had done to deserve this treatment. Seriously, if you're gonna block someone, you should at least have the decency to tell them why.

Keep writing man.

I don't get it either. I admit I did blocked one person because they were just harassing me, no constructive criticism- just a down right a*s. If someone is not open to reviews and critiques or an other persons POV then they shouldn't engage. I have been blocked and I can't for the life of me figure out why, the one conversation I had with the person was positive? and someone just removed me as a friend because I'm "happily married" LOL So who knows why people pull this crap. Strange things brew in the Cafe'. Good rant, helps to know your not alone sometimes. :)

When a writer blocks you is because they have writers block, the unability to try to make sense of what is being said and they take the easy road to perdition, if their life was to ever depend on it they would lack the experience to get through because they gave on that opportunity when they had the chance.
