Fleeting

Fleeting

A Poem by M15ant470p3
"

Composed last year in contemplation of change and a willingness to examine the new excitement of attraction.

"

Fingers strain in white knuckled death grip

Sweaty palmed engagements and innocent back glances

Poisonous pleasantries dangle from her tongue tip

Time violently saunters and the hearts rip

Memories cascade and harken hasty advances

Fingers strain in white knuckled death grip

Prime indications when the ring starts to slip

Phantom insinuation and fantasy dalliances

Poisonous pleasantries dangle from her tongue tip

Their hearts thud to a rhythm and in unison trip

Shocked reactions and hastily whipped phalanxes

Fingers strain in white knuckled death grip

Lingering touches and brushed shoulders complete the cantrip

Contradictory Jungian paradoxical romances

Poisonous pleasantries dangle from her tongue tip

Blurred movements and heightened gestures clip

Sweat glistens as the imagination dances

Fingers strain in white knuckled death grip

Poisonous pleasantries dangle from her tongue tip.
