Seasons of Love

Seasons of Love

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

Trees change color and leaves fall with whispers from the forest floor

The seasons come and go and of our love there is no more.

My heart hibernates and hopes to only live through all the cold

And every time a lily dies there’s a story left untold

When flowers die on mountains built from pure and simple love

The only hope I have is in a blessing from above

When days grow short and smiles are few in dismal winter skies

You kill important parts of me with dirty selfish lies

When spring comes I’ll find winter in my heart still not awake

Like A poisoned berry that I ate… her love for me would fade

Everything changes, the seasons, emotions. Funny how one may think a season has actually changed, but in all honesty, maybe there was a momentary lapse of reason in that season.

I enjoyed your honesty in this piece and I found your words to be well expressed. I can't fault you for your feelings, but I always yearn to know what the other person has to say. Hmmm, things that make me ponder.

Once again, you rock!

The truth will always prevail. Remember that. Let God avenge you my friend. He will, if you do not choose to do so yourself. Slander, lies, gossip...they are painful at the time that they are happening, but honestly speaking, it all comes out in the wash. If we choose to do the right thing in the face of adversity, God will take care of the rest. :-)

'Trees change color and leaves fall with whispers from the forest floor....

....When spring comes I'll find winter in my heart still not awake

Like A poisoned berry that I ate her love for me was fake'

Some lines I *particularly* enjoyed. I like how it has a constant, lulling rhythm.

The words words and intention behind your poem rhymes with inexplicable harmony. The imagery of the overpowering sense of nature and it's dynamic circle sure adds more flow to the lyrical genuity of your work. Lovely.
