Water Wings

Water Wings

A Poem by Lady M

I feel heavey.

My heart's a sunken ship.

My head a paper weight.

It's falling.

My neck a plastic straw.

Help me I'm drowning.

These blankets are an ocean.

I can't swim in this current

.My thoughts are a flood.

My lungs a hellish wreck.

My body a mangled mess.

But no,

I'm fine.

Choking on all the "just fine"'s my parted

lips have whispered feebly.

I'm tearing out my hair.

So fine.
