She belongs to heaven

She belongs to heaven

A Poem by Ms.Rodgers

There's air in her lungs, but it can't compete
The bass in her ears makes her complete
There's melodies dancing all through her head
With out music, she'd be dead
An angel's tear upon a devil's lips
A guitar and a pick kiss
It's a war for power, a hopeless fight
Between the drums and the piano, she'll be alright
An ancient song, tainted with sin
Passed from generations, found deep within
There's a secret only she can see
The music is the only silence to her screams
An addiction, so to say
Any price she'd pay
A blankness settles upon her mind
And the bass line's there to break the binds
To ease the pain that's struck her heart
All she needs is for the music to start
Music is her only retreat
Headphones will soon replace her heartbeat
