Morning Glory

Morning Glory

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Asleep in my bed,

you’ll never know the love

and feeling

I have for you

yet,

I haven’t the heart

to awaken you from dreams,

to acknowledge the emotion

in so many words

Perhaps, when you awaken

I’ll tell you…

in the morning.

' Asleep in my bed, -- you’ll never know the love -- and feeling I have for you '

A gentleness of a poem, romantic and more. We should all feel this way, all wake this way. You lay words so beautifully in both literary and illustrative form. Sighhing, Kelly - thank you.

...thank you, Emma. Your kindness is much appreciated!
The feeling you describe is such a unique, desirable feeling that I have felt before and when I read your words I knew exactly what you mean. It's a love, pure and unbroken and unlike any other feeling with any other person. I loved it :)

...you nailed it, Aaron...thank you, my friend! ; )
This is beautiful!! I love the ellipses used between "I'll tell you" and "in the morning". It playfully teases the reader :D

The feeling of love in this piece fairly explodes off of the page. The atmosphere of tranquility graces the writing, taking the reader in toward the peace. A simple testament of love made grand by your luscious presentation of the mood. Very nice, Kelly. take care...dan

The weight of those words cause us to hesitate, especially saying them aloud. Thank you, Jacob!
That was really lovely, and the soft gray font made for a romantic feel.
