Design by nature

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

I caught a perfect raindrop, sitting upon the petal of a succulent.

Design by nature

a dulcet rain

begins to fall

an orb

of absolute precision

is meticulously cupped within

the concave petal of

a succulent

unequivocally designed

by nature.

I see you took the photograph. It's a perfect pairing.

The words you chose match the piece exquisitely. Carefully crafted, carved to it's essence.

I like how this piece puts a special moment in slow motion, with the little raindrop taking its time to drop perfectly on the petal of a flower. Really great imagery and very mesmerizing for such a short piece. I also enjoyed the vocabulary as well as the image that went with the poem. Thank you for sharing.

Glad I could :)
I always believed that poetry and nature go hand in hand and this magnificent poem is a perfect example of that. I believe, too, that an artist could create this lovely image from your words alone. Simply breathtaking, Kelly.

Reading your words brought to light so much joy that flows around us in the world, too often neglected by weary eyes. Your thoughts are simply stunning.
