Lost From Love

Lost From Love

A Poem by Nish Nish the Fish

I see it with my eyes,
but i'm so far away from it.
It rings like melodious harmonies in my ears,
but its deaf to my songs.
People of all colors are falling,
but somehow I don't qualify.

There's a pair of stars in the sky for every two unbreakabble hearts,
i think mine's invisible,
because no matter how many times i gaze up at the shining sky at night,
at 12:34,
wearing my soul on my sleeve for all to steal,
every night i make a wish,
but by the next morning the hope is gone,
the stars have vanished,
the temperature gets just low enough to be unbearable,
and i've woken up to another day of waiting.

I declare that i don't like cliches,
but i'm living one, or two, or a million.
I beg myself,
even though i'm living a cliche,
atleast, live in a unique way.

But it just gets harder and harder each day to lie to myself,
"i don't need love, i don't want love."
but the sick truth is,
i want it with all my heart.

And so i wait,
never forgetting to make that wish,
or stand out,
or be happy.
Hoping that one day,
he'll find my invisible star and show me that it really does exist.

This is beautiful. Honestly, your imagery was awesome, and your emotions were truly heartfelt.
You might want to go through and fix the 'I's as I felt they took away from the feel of the poem, but other than that, awesome. Nicely written.

A great and heartfelt poem. You wear your emotions and feelings for all to see.
Dont give up hope. Dont give up on love. It comes when you least expect it too.
