Do I trust you too much?

Do I trust you too much?

A Poem by Mya Q
"

A sequel to 'Can I Trust You?'

"
Mr. Desperado!
(You see I've added the 'Mister'
because I've had a change of heart.)

For I do trust you.
Granny did hear the clack
of your shoes this afternoon.
Heard it scrape against the gravel.
And I heard your words like spoken jewels
bright and sweet.

So I can no longer ask'Can I trust you?'
Because I do; this is an absolute.

So now I ask 'Do I trust you too much?'
I probably do.
I usually do
Of course I do!

For you are like a bed of roses.
But roses have thorns!
Long and sharp ready to gouge out
an eye.

But don't hide your thorns from me.
I will get bored with perfection
Instead show them clear and bold.
So I will know how to maneuver and
work your vine.

Do I trust you too much?
Of course I do!
So don't hurt me too badly.

But show me your thorns.
So that I'll know you're human.

I think you really want to trust him and you think you trust him but somewhere deep down you don't. Lovely sequel. You're a very talented young lady madame.

Surely madame there is no need to thank me. I tell the truth.
I got a kick out of this, an excellant sequel.- it's witty, sharp, with a dash of sardonic humor. Do you really trust him, I don't think so, and if he breaks that trust I'm sure granny would take care of that...
