A poem I wrote when an ex-called me up crying.

After what seems like years
You jump back into my life
You told me of your fears
I once thought you'd be my wife
And begged for me to save you
You still haunt my mind
But now our relationship starts anew

I once was blind
Blind with my my love for you
Then you left me
You cracked my once beating heart
Left me for dead
Left me for him

Now with open arms
And open eyes
I will save you from harm
No more lies
I love you
I will never leave your side
I will protect you
I always be here for you to confide
In.
