By his Grace Not Justification

A Poem by The John Fredrick Carver

The Christians think they are justified by the blood

That the Christ had shed for them on the Cross that day

Him being the Lamb they sacrificed to bud

And blossom with their sin debt paid that way

But the way is not to follow the Moses' law

For the law was a harsh way they could not fulfill

And the blood of lambs were pictures of what God saw

But turning from evil a matter of their will

As in heaven all who see God's face will die

Though their vehicle, their body will be deceased

And the spirit of it will die with their last sigh

And their guardian angel will be dead it's so decreased

So we will die, and we will to be like God...? No God!!!

But by his grace you will be there, thee God we laud.
