Seashore

I will turn my imagination to reality.

SEASHORE

We were near the seashore,

Looking at the setting sun.

Waiting for light rain,

And lots of fun.

You stood behind me,

While I searched for you,

And when I turned around,

I could see stars few,

You suddenly held my hand

And said that you love me,

Then I looked in your eyes

And said I know it already.

In that dark night your smile was the brightest which you gave me,

I know that was so good,

As ours is a true love story.

Then felt like God heard our silent wish,

And yes, it rained.

It was the best fun, to get wet in rain.

This memory is filled with romance. I particularly liked the idea of her smile being a light in the darkness. If only we could all find somebody like that...

It might just be me, but time seemed to change rather rapidly in a few lines. One minute the sun was setting and the next I am told of a night sky filled with stars. (or perhaps these were metaphorical, in which case I apologise!) Both descriptions were charming, much like the couple you depicted.

Yes, the scenario of setting sun to dark night was done intentionally in order to give a picture that the couple was so lost that the changing of day to night was overlooked. 😊😊😊

Every one has such dream in his/her life that one shall love so much. but it is very hard to find a true and honest love in this so-called modern and materialistic world. I have visited seas in the South India recently and I felt peace and happiness in seashore. That was one happiest moment and amazing for me. I love every line of the poem that touch my heart particularly the emotions and feelings of the poet while reading and reviewing this piece.
A well written poem on a dream of a true love story. Thanks for sharing. Keep writing. :)

To be frank, one of my wishes is to be by the seashore with my love and watch at the sunset and then the bright moon.. the night sky and the ocean beneath that...
