Unvoiced screams

UNVOICED SCREAMS

In the darkest of hour,

 I lay awake.

Flashing memories and thoughts meet me,

They whisper melodious songs of heartbreak.

Scattered, broken, unfulfilled my dreams are,

My unceasing emptiness bounds me,

I have been strong for very long,

Now I cannot bear the sadness within me.

Despair and memories haunts me,

Telling me that we will not be together in this life,

I want to live another life with you.

All the promises I want to keep,

Life, with a bit of happiness, I want to seek.

Sadness ruptures from the depths of heart,

Not in this life, but another,

I will stay with you till the last.

'The heart forgets not what it loved truly, whether it's a phase of of intimacy, love, or the people it died for, in general' and then, it is these silent, dark hours, when it actually remember, relives, and misses it the most.
Sadly, those memories and people remembered at that phase, are the ones whose arrival again, is next to impossible, but that ray of hope, somewhere stays no matter what .And it is that degree of attachment then, and now the unbearable loss, that wells up one's eyes, and that eventually turns into incessant sobs, the ones that are better hidden from the ignorant morning croud around the sufferers, who may never know and perceive anyway.

Nothing remains the same in nature, nor does those 'Unvoiced screams'. Eventually, everything comes to peace.It's therefore better to stay hopeful, and hold on in that phase.

I loved the simplicity of your poem, Najam.plus, it was very expressive, without harming the strong intensity of the theme.

I was able to have this kind of feeling when my father died. Waking up at a time you never want to and having a hard time to process all your emotions within. Such a beautiful piece and it captures the emotions it should have.
