The Magnificence of Wu-Wei

The Magnificence of Wu-Wei

There is grandeur and dignity too

In immobility, in acting without acting

In severing the cord between

Deed and will, between love and person

Until I become a greater instrument

So this is it, as if a final release

From the perch of attachment into

An unfamiliar purity of wonderfully not-human

An ecstatic transparency of the dissolution

Of craving, the calming of all energy-centers

The glorious eyes that no longer

Need an answering pair of eyes

The hunger of the heart that is no longer

Seeking the human food of love

About
