Fruitacious frivolity

Fruitacious frivolity

A Chapter by Moonie
"

~just a scribble~

"
Dripping maple sap,
the tenebrous trees trap-
Golden gelatinous gin.
In fruity flagons, like hazel ink,
they store their tipsy drink,
making the boundary's red robe
stretch into a globulous globe
Like a barrel of heady ale-
A swollen drop of great detail.
Impregnated with wondrous wines,
Down it descends like dropped dimes.

The title made me smile, as one who adores frivolity of any kind. And then, you had me at dripping maple sap, which I pour over my waffles nearly every morning. The real stuff. Oh, so enchanted, every line alive with music and movement, the wonders of life being poured out drop by divine drop.

If this is a scribble then I think you have a lot of talent.
The way the lines rhymed attracted my attention.
Splendid and pleasing :)

Your scribble reminds me of drunken pancakes and since that's what I'm currently doing, makes it that much cooler to me haha

If this is just a quick scribble then you a really talented poet! I loved the imagery you created so easily in my mind in so few lines and you did a pretty good job on the rhyming scheme too.

Oh, thank you so much, Steph. I feel humbled by your nifty review.
ok, I am a sucker for alliteration.. this one tickles that fancy and has me giggling with delight.. the imagery you managed to achieve while doing that was pretty sweet!.. it teases and pleases the senses.. felt it lost a little in the rhymes, but overall was very nice!.. good job!.. I enjoyed :)

I am glad you enjoyed it. I have a thing for aliteration as well.
dear moon child... I adore your poetry...
I can sense the heady aroma of the maple
syrup as it descends. I, like the bear cubs,
would love to taste the delights of your golden pen.
truly... Pat
