Destroy the Illusion to Build My Dream

Destroy the Illusion to Build My Dream

A Poem by The Lovely Sound Of Crashing

Dear Earth,
I feel out of place, this is not where I belong.
The dictations have such an annoying tone.
Skin and bones,
Turn to ash...
But not while I still got some soul.
I'm not okay,
Today should be the day I'll say "So long."
Years go by, years say:
"Bye, it was nice to meet the new me!"

I won't give you anymore faith.
The illusion is starting to fade.
In the end, I want to rebuild
My own fallen mental state.
I wanna make it come together.
I wanna make it all make sense.
My existence,
I'll confirm that this wasn't all just chance!

Hang on to YOUR own beliefs,
Cause without them there's just a void,
Avoid the silence,
I don't think there's a problem with indulging in YOUR own noise!
What's the truth, and what's untrue?
It seems out of tune...
All I know is,
I don't want the lullaby that soothes you!
(Play me something that,
Will make my body spring to life!)

I won't give you anymore faith.
The illusion is starting to fade.
In the end, I want to rebuild
My own fallen mental state.
I wanna make it come together.
I wanna make it all make sense.
My existence,
I'll confirm that this wasn't all just chance!

And if it all falls down,
And if it all dies out.
Then I can still say I lived!
I can say I was me,
And I wasn't a fib!
