Dearest Laura,

I too am not the old Sam.

Both legs amputated, I am, physically,

 only half-alive.

Bound to the wheel-chair, I live.

My heart is overworked.

I have no soul mate to hoist me up in the air.

I am still in the search, you know.

Every day, I promise myself that I will keep me happy.

Every day, I promise myself that I won’t let unnecessary tears run down my cheeks.

I love my life, however hopeless it may appear to others.

I thank God for keeping me alive & happy.
