You exactly penned down my emotions. I want to add few more lines to make it exactly my situation.
Alas she met him
Who promised her
To end her solitude forever
Situation was such
She got no choice than to sacrifice their love
She was left alone again
I am glad I came across this :)

After reading this I am really happy. Your words got true.
A sad poem shared. Death is never a goo date. You said a complete poem in so few words. Hard to do. Thank you Neetha for sharing your amazing poetry.

Hi Neetha, very touching words and thoughts. We invest so much of ourselves in relationships.... maybe thats not so good, on the other hand what would life be without passion and risk! Lovely verse
Wow simply outstanding. I liked this poem, by my perception I thought she met someone (man) but alas after reading your note that ended pretty sad. Anyways great work 👏👏👏
Love and life both can be difficult beyond imagination. Life goes through a series of ups and downs, challenges and rewards. On the other hand, love goes through different episodes too. Romance, togetherness, distance, separation, faithfulness, betrayal, heartbreak, and what not! It is, in itself, a challenge as well as a reward. But, I have always felt that a life without love is not life at all. Losing love is an end on its own. Specially for a soul that has tasted love even for once, for that existence carrying the loss of lost love is overburdening.
A nice meaning behind it. Maybe you should change the word 'solitude' to 'loneliness' in the last line. Solitude has more or less a positive connotation I guess. Loneliness sounds more apt. Up to you though.
Like the personification of death here. Nicely done!
