GIFT

Warm rays bathed her

Welcoming her happily

With a gift so necessary

Wrapped with glistening bows.

 

A smile adorned her face

As she sighted the gift

And her heart pounded

As her fingers made way.

 

Slowly she pierced into the world

Secretive and protected

Serene and mystifying

Secured inside coloured wrappers.

 

Wrapped inside wrappers

Was a ‘watch’

Flamboyant with designs &

Filled with ‘Time’.

 

‘Time runs forward

Taking you along or

Trailing you behind

Through your decisions’

 

Thus read the gilded wordings

Alongside the morning Gift.
