Empty Locket

Empty Locket

A Poem by nejiel_p.r.
"

But I was an empty locket.

"

You got me in your pocket,
Deep down the fabric clothe,
But I was an empty locket,
Different from what you thought,

You found the function,
Deep within me, you really did,
T’was plunged into trepidation,
Those rusts that you got rid,

A picture as memory,
Slid past the metal frame,
This is an epiphany,
Unkempt darkness you tame,

The pain so inconspicuous,
Lived like a pariah,
You saw it, didn’t accuse,
You let me sing it in aria,

You got me in your pocket,
And gave the happiness I sought,
The changes you maketh,
In this poem I wrote,
