We

We

A Story by Nerio
"

A mind-blowing (probably absurd and not-understandable) piece of horror sci-fi. Mankind greatest goal may be its own curse and doom.

"

We.

Are.

Will be.

Thing of things.

A part of whole and the same in each part.

We.

Existence over the rest.

Over those phenomenons called time and space.

We.

Not now and here, but ever and anywhere.

The only limit: what cannot exist.

Because any other thing is already or will become, part of us.

Connected. Included. Integrated.

A part of the whole.

We.

But once...

Before, when there was a “before” and an “after”, because there was no “us”.

Those.

There were lots, millions, billions.

Finished creatures.

Doomed by a beginning and an end.

They.

They were not even ‘they’, but a sum of 'him', 'her', 'him, 'her' and so on.

Covering spaces called planets, countries, cities, bodies.

They.

They were different and had different names.

They, not-we: division.

Races, genders, types.

They soffered.

From when they were born ‘till death, they strived becoming one.

Groups, families, couples.

They craved so much, but still they never reached.

It didn’t matter how near they got to the idea of unity.

including, conquering, convincing.

They were perfeclty uncompatible, the ones with the others.

So they were.

For long intervals of time.

Existences repeating differently, never the same.

And yet.

By repeating the same error, over and over.

Because of their suffering of feeling alone.

They changed.

Research, development, evolution.

They looked so much, so desperately, for unity, at last to be able to think of it.

The idea of WE.

Ego, spirit, God.

A thinking thought.

So they did it.

They connected every corner of the universe.

They unified all the possible languages.

They entered all the possibly conceivable variables in the System.

And at the dawn of a new age, they turned it on.

Alpha and Omega.

Zero per zero are all.

So 'they' became 'we'.

Incorporating, devouring, melting.

Unifying.

Bodies, cities, countries, planets.

Thing of things.

The ignition of God.

We.

Our body an everything-covering mass of flesh, energy and void.

Until the End.

Until when, once more, We won’t decide to create again the universe.

Alfa and Omega.

A part of whole and the same in each part.

We.

Are.

Will be.

One.

I agree with Emma, who recommended this to me. I would change very little. The beauty is in its complexity which in truth is a simplicity that we all know and understand on a deeper, sensate level than we like to think of. The truth in any language remains a truth, and truth is beauty complete.

One line of note for correction:

"They were perfeclty uncompatible, the ones with the others."

should be: "perfectly incompatible."

Words: "Untill" and "Alfa" also stood out to me, which in English on my side of the shore should be "Until" and "Alpha."

This was a pleasure to read, like crystal waters for the mind.

This is a masterpiece. It truly is in every sense of the word, beauty. Your mind, heart, and soul united together as one and this is what U got.

This was different and I loved the way it flows. Reminded me of the movie 2001, I am not sure why though.

There are moments when i had to slow my reading so as to savour what you were saying.. tis not a simple read.. in fact it holds various tangents. Is fascinating, emotional.. strangely compelling.
