oh gosh I have totally had this feeling in the corporate institution, and you're right, nobody cares.. jerry seinfeld said that the employee/employer agreement is ridiculous, it's impossible to organise the unorganisable and compartmentalise people, it's funny when you think about how robotic we try to make our society but it doesn't really work at all.
I love your ability to write very short pieces, it's respectable. I like the sum of ideas. Also, I enjoy the variations of your work, I appreciate a writer not afraid to explore and diversify. Thanks for sharing!

Love this write--simple in form, and that works so well for it---Great and gritty piece that you can come back to again and again--and it certainly does make one think

Many thanks for your kind comments Audrey, All Good Things, Neville
Often, it's just more thankless responsibility that someone else left! Love how you likened it to "another flight of stairs"...no rest, just keep moving up.

Up sounds good, I plan to aim in that direction. Ta muchley. N
I thought this was a very odd piece at first, but a great poem makes one thinks - and this one certainly does! To me, this person ignoring their true calling by accepting a pseudo promotion onward to another flight of stairs of nothingness. May he toil in his dreariness. Great poem, looking forward to reading more of your work!

It is amazing how easily we can be manipulated with appeals to our egos. We are told that we are being promoted and we continue to chase the next carrot as our minutes tick away.
