Ballerina

Ballerina

A Poem by Neville

Ballerina

Like a tiny ballerina

She skips across the floor

She pirouettes then reaches out

To rearrange a flower

Naked

Save the broken golden cross

She always wore

Then watching from the unmade bed

I realise her lover said

I love you

.

Wonderful imagery, and such a private tender moment shared Neville. Your readers will be as delighted with this poem, as she must have been on receiving the gift of your final line. Brevity can say so much. Excellent work.

so simply stated yet elegant...i love the image of the ballerina .. and the " broken golden cross" adds all kinds of "stuff" into the equation ... i am a sucker for happy endings .. and so love the closing ... ahhhhhh love .... ;)

I think You are a very happy hippy man indeed :)

I wish I could write in this simplicity You've wrote with, simple yet moving, what I like the most about it, that sometimes we don't need any word to say, but "a little bit of " reaction or "a little bit of " glimpse.... when love speaks out loud, with no voice, passionate and affectionate Your words are, thank You*

Intriguing depiction of down-to-earth playfulness. Love your sparkling details while also shrouding a few to keep us guessing *smile* Fondly, Margie
