Oh lord

You really have

No idea

How much I envy

Those tall mirrors

Over there

And those images

Reflected

They contain

And tho you take

My eyes and sight

You can not take

This pain

I need it like

I need

These memories

To feel alive again

I don't know why, but it is far easier to write about stuff which causes us hurt. Maybe us poets are gluttons for punishment. Maybe we enjoy that pain because it is like fuel for us.

and as that song says..."you bleed just to know you're alive"---

we need our pain to write, i strongly believe that...so much easier to write about the bad stuff than the good stuff...pain is the fuel.
