What Do Poets Do

a little bit more than the obvious, I would say.......

What Do Poets Do  

 

So what is it that poets do

I hear you ask

Well for starters

They capture situations

circumstances and events

Then they harness

moments moods and light

And stuff like that

Both good and bad

Old and new

Then sometimes when they

are dared or dare

And maybe they feel

generous enough

Then they might just let

their words float free

And share them with the universe

That’s what poets do……….

Words are what they are life-long, a means of displaying everything Nature can give to a being when his or her mind smiles at a willing heart. And yes, that's what poets do. Your poem really is so charming, a delicacy to carry through today and - more than welcome in a far too busy world.

We all have a certain talent that is naturally bright in particular areas. I love the way several poets can write completely different ideas about the same topics. I am most envious of those writers who can conjure up such a wealth of details that I often forget to mention! Can't disagree with that Neville. They also set themselves up for who knows what when they publish their stuff on the internet.
