Cliques & Clichés

Cliques & Clichés

A Poem by Neville

Cliques & Clichés

Hey

With so many

Cliques and clichés my friend

Try

Staking a claim

On a box of hearsays my friend

Now

You may never know

What you meant to me my friend

Although

It is far too late now

For an apology my friend

Far

Too late indeed

With so many cliques and clichés my friend

Forget

All those goodbyes and hearsays my friend

Cliques & clichés are two of my least favorite things in life. If someone prefers these, then it’s a good bet he/she won’t really enjoy spending much time sharing my state of mind. In this way, I understand your poem to be a goodbye to someone that must surround his/herself with popularity or popular sentiments. You’ll never know how much . . . becuz we don’t measure things in the same metrics, I guess! *sigh!* I love the way you put things so mysteriously & yet succinctly (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
