It may because I am currently reading his book of longing right now, but this has the feel of Leonard Cohen's poetic reflections of the life he lived, and wished he still did.
I can heartily recommend it as one of the best poetry books I've ever read, despite not being a fan of his music.
One of the best I said, amongst such greats as that Pettitt bloke who wrote torquoise and other shades of blue, which is a cracker, and who is also available now, at all amazon websites now 😀
Ps... Before you ask, no! of course he didn't pay me to say that. Mr Cohen is dead ffs 😀

Not only because I am a big fan of Mr. LNC myself and who incidentally once wrote to me and gave the nod for me to use some of his words in my Fathers eulogy (posted here somewhere).. but also because the great man was also a student of Buddhism for a while... I would also be telling fibs if I said I could do without the advertising coz I cant.... The Book of Longing is damned good too .. Thanks a million mate..

This is one of your best that I've read so far. I love the sketchy creative way you describe the connections. As a lifelong lover of education, I took classes about all kinds of things beyond "majoring in something" in college, always sitting in front, always rapt just becuz I love new info. Many times professors would be drawn to this attention (everyone loves a rapt listener), almost seeming to lecture to me alone at times. Your poem piques my imagination about "the other half" of these experiences . . . what the other person might've been thinking. Thanks for digging out these forgotten nuggets & nuggin' me with nostalgia (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A tiger on vaseline? Japanese language? Maybe we are looking at martial arts here. Not sure Neville, you do like to keep your audience guessing. A tiger on vaseline, though, that really does get the imagination going. That must have been some student, on their way to becoming a master, methinks. Held in very high esteem.
Good evening.

Robbie, could never get the hang of it. Far too gentle in his approach. I think he would have rather kissed the opposition lol. David Bowie and You all in the same poem. Can't ask for more than that.
Arigato Neville x ( I am assuming that is a way to saying cheerio and I haven't landed myself in a quandary here)
