A Trail of Words

A Trail of Words

A Poem by Neville
"

A bit tongue in cheek.. not everyone is gonna find it funny....just could not bite mine any longer... don't it just hurt like hell....

"

A Trail of Words

Oh my gods

Just watch her fly

Does that woman

Never sleep

If you ask me

She might just be

On auto pilot

But then…

If you ask me again

She really needs

To be on

Lithium too

Is she merely

Hypo-manic

Or might she just

Be misguided

As of now

I’m undecided

Whatever the

Case may be

She leaves a

Vapour trail

Behind her

On reflection tho

Lamotrogine

May be more effective

If let’s say

She’s mixed-affective

No time to waste

Or be uncertain

Fetch my pad then

Tell her go undress

Behind this curtain….

Although no longer practicing clinically, I do still have my script pads locked in the safe... and just in case you might be wondering... I was able to retire early.. No I was not struck off so there.... Now say aaah.... N

I love this, especially coming from you. It's refreshing for a professional to step outside his dots like this. Now we know what our therapists are REALLY thinking as they coo reassurances and tell us to lie down. You are fortified with a lifetime of putting on that supportive façade, huh? *wink! wink!* I love it when you let out your sassy streak (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

While, we’re left guessing what exactly she’s on! She appears to be unaffected by it all, breezing through things. As long as the ‘kick’really kicks in, does it even matter what brings the high? Not to me! Great one, dear Neville!

Funny. very funny. Especially the last stanza. Didn't need the author's notes to appreciate the content.
