Interpret

Frown upon

Or indeed applaud

Those vicious rants

So despised

Yet so very oft adored

Poor poets one and all

So would he….

Might he……...

Must he……….

Throw it all away

For a handful of poems

I've read this one again, and I see something quite different. I see someone acting furtively, maybe up to something that she shouldn't be doing. I think the first and second stanzas are linked. The rants come later, maybe after being found out. I feel infidelity here. Someone who is adored but who is pushing the boundaries to breaking point. That's where my compass led me, but the magnet frequently goes on a bender.

It always amazes me how folk perceive and variously interpret what they find laying right in front of their noses... it is one of those things that make these interactive sites so compelling...and regardless of what response one receives, it either fits comfortably with our initial interpretation, or jars and we have to try and reconfirm..thank you Chris for double checking...
