Your poem reminds me of that kind of person who seems to draw in everyone around, like a charismatic leader of people, whether in a high or low position in life. Everyone seems to watch this kind of person when they enter a room. It seems your narrator's hopes are "shot down" (sniper-like) since he's just one of a crowd who feels her in his bones like he does (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I like all the watching and waiting up top. And those two familiars! So familiar. Their anxiety cranks up the absence and anticipation of the Great One. The two heartbeats intrigue, why two? What manner of being re is this? The feeling is physical in the middle but the physical fades into dreamy disappointment and frustration at the end. Though their is a delicious feel to the despair of yearning without real hope. Maybe that is how the whole of life is. We know there's great stuff there... over there... just... out of reach. You got me thinking.
Maybe your sniper has readers puzzled? Not at all sure what this means but it is giving me feelings of rejection. I am feeling that there is a great deal of love here that isn't being returned. My compass is stuck, I have no direction. To be freezing for all eternity is some punishment.

I've never been able to get to grips with his work. It's not that I dislike it, I find it puzzling.

I kind of agree with you Chris as far as considering how a bit of art makes one feel, in as much as if for example a bit of it make us feel sad, happy, angry etc ie an emotion, it is probably half decent... I'm just glad of your visit and thank ya for it......... N
