A Boat Well Missed

A Boat Well Missed

A Poem by Neville

A Boat Well Missed

It matters not one micro dot

You missed the boat you’ve had your lot

So does it really Matter when

Those fabled Seven seas ran dry

Today my friend the ocean waves

All but flying fish a very fond goodbye

..

opportunity knocks only once but when that time comes we seem oblivious and apparently realized that the opportunity just passed us by

Imaginative. I missed the boat once Neville. I love that metaphor for missing out on something and it being too late to be able to do anything about it. And of course what good is a boat without water. If all the seas gang dry. Now wasn't that a bit of Rabbie Burns? This little poem is multi layered and I could go on and on but won't for fear of outstaying my welcome. I have some digging to do. I have written one with the same theme years back.
