Go Well

Go Well

A Poem by Neville

Go Well

Go

Well my

Fine friend with

A warm wind in

Your back… Each step along

Your way takes you closer to

The goal you seek

Of splendid self destruction… Undertaken

On the back of lacquered rebukes

Poisoned pens a strangle hold

A stab in the back or two

Gas attacks

Death

Om

.

What an interesting write Neville. This comes across as a message of goodwill to someone who has been in more than a bit of bother and is hell bent on self destruction. Someone who ignores all sound advice to pursue that pathway that will lead them to their grave. The OM, a chant maybe to do with Buddhism, representing truth. Sometimes however hard we try we can not help some people. You can only help people if they wish to be helped. If you can't help them, the least you can do is wish them well and part on good terms. That dear Neville, is how your lines speak to me this afternoon. Those who wish to help others, are noble and compassionate.

There are some bent on hurting both themselves and others. They know no other way. In the end, pity is a what they deserve.

A stab in the back is the last straw that breaks any and every correspondence. Still you wish the stubborn one well and say a prayer of peace and good bye. Very wise and gentle way to extricate from a difficult friendship. Beautiful visual poem, dear Neville. Namaste. 🕉

I liked this writing..its really different from those normal ideas which I get to read here..when someone is on the path of self destruction , sometimes they don't listen to you and the best you can do at that time is to just wish them well..Sometimes even though you want to help someone you just can't help that person..You portrayed the main theme in a good way in this poem..Loved it..keep writing..
