Lapis

Lapis

A Poem by Neville

Lapis

Gold flecked with silver

A most intriguing blue

Honest deep and serious

A simple thumb print

Black smudged

Moonstruck kind of hue

Elsewhere though

The mountains stole the rain

Now crystal clear and true

Methodology suspended

In a micro climate

With love from me to you

we see our love written in the formations of the clouds at a sunset after a rain...
above mountains...this reminds me of North Carolina...my parents...their smiles as they watched me grow from a morning into a day...
they are gone now, and i am drifting across the sky of life into my own sunset.

I have heard of Lapis blue...
but never understood its hue
until I met you amongst the dew
on morning glories true. As ever, Pat

this reads like a present Nev, it feels like your holding up the stone, gazing up on it against the clear blue celestial sky, spinning it in your fingers holding back the torrent and handing it over with a touch of wisdom. in a very sing song tone and cadence in this

Lapis lazuli, a beautiful deep blue flecked semi precious stone. I imagine this being held and pondered on. A stone known for its special qualities. Serenity, enlightenment and truth. Against a mountain backdrop, a pause in time and reflections on loved ones. This poem has a very calming feel to it, is visual and uplifting. Lovely work.
