Unfortunately your poem appears to reflect much that is going on in the world, but not everywhere. Our politicians and leaders certainly don't help. That sort of climate overspills elsewhere too in everyday life. Life is short, hatred is destructive, better to embrace than hurt. Better to diffuse a bad situation than add fuel to the fire. Sadly, once fires have started they take effort to douse. That's where you took me on a beautiful morning Neville. Have a lovely day.

Spot on with this shameful disfigurement we have given to peace - -- riddled with indifference ill feeling will grow and just as your verse shows the affect is being felt earth-wide - - - a warning to take to heart Nev and thank you for sharing it.

This message makes me cringe, it's so true to what's going on lately on FB. Ever since our 2020 prez election started heating up, people are posting all kinds of hateful & divisive s**t. Lots of people wouldn't recognize PEACE if it bit them in the a*s. I love your powerfully-stated honesty in this poem! (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This poem entirely Explained human behavior towards peace and war. No one seems to ever notice what is happening. They keep silence staring at one another with wordless messages. Though they know the source of the matter but becomes deaf by the phobia of what its pioneers could do.
Dogs bark when they sense something is going on, chickens c**k at the obstruction of their peace, then when are we human so quiet when something is hurting us and why are we so dumb to speak?
I think if we continue to keep quiet, we'll be oppressed the more. It's only the noisy patient that'll first get the doctor's attention.

The theme here reminds me of the song, "One Tin Soldier". There is too much hate in this world and when things start going well, it seems no one really notices....they continue hating and being angry. Very well written and timely, Neville. Lydi**
this touches on something so very serious that deeply affects us all, our future and our children
the truth of the words just hits the heart with a pang, because the truth hurts

thank you for taking a peek and for sharing some of my views..... Neville
i think many of the regular folk are trying to protect the environment...the politicians are too busy fighting with each other to care, really...they profess to care...about mother nature and about their people...but the in-fighting is getting so sickening...didn't we elect them to serve us...not their own agendas.
just saying...
yes, on this one.
