The love song of the Gods

Let me soothe the redness of your blue eyes

to soak in ink the temper of your skies

I'll cast your perfect dream into the night

and feed your muted flame back into light

Let me excite the numbness of your skin

to release the passion that lies within

I'll free your imprisoned soul from those bars

and give it wings to fly among the stars

Let me heal the sting of your rejection

to promise you never such defection

I'll close the wounds that sever you so deep

and offer you protection while you sleep

Let me carry you away from danger

to once again learn to trust a stranger

I'll stand by you and help you face your fears

and let you hear sweet music in your ears

Let me say I love you every day

to paint with color all that once was grey

I'll wrap my arms round you and plant a kiss

and prove there's no devotion such as this
