Bazaar

Bazaar

A Poem by Astro
"

The feel of the market

"
down we push through the promenade

charged with spice and sweat seduction

wading through a sea of colored swaths

the rippled fabric softly set upon sandals

fashions of the body, drapery of the soul

windows walking in view of tinkly-trinkets

displayed on silk and sold through smiles

in a caravan of canopies and pink pottery

filled like dusty stomachs for greedy hands

here time swims in motion with the crowd

followed closely by the sun until it has set

What beautiful imagery! I was transported to the exotic bizarres of Morrocco or perhaps India...the spices, the sounds, the grit and grime juxtaposed with the beauty of the language and the food. This makes me want to travel; makes me want to go out and experience. Lovely write, my friend! I feel bad that I don't have more to say...
