A short poem about dreams, dreams of fame and fortune, dreams that will never happen.

 

 

My celebrity girlfriend,

the beginning of my end,

your perfect eyes,

a hideous suprise,

we are worlds apart,

so knife my heart,

I know you don't love me,

how I stupidly can't see,

that love is blind,

autograph my soul,

I want it signed,

to fill that gap, that pitch blabk hole,

your smile and wave,

proud to be your slave,

so I write this here,

a letter to send,

to my unobtainable dear,

my celebrity girlfriend.

I was not expecting this to be so good. It was entertaining, amusing, and heartfelt all at the same time.

It had a good flow and the subject matter put a uniquie twist on a common theme.

'to fill that gap, that pitch black* hole,'

I also loved how it ended with the same line it started with. It wasn't forced or predictable.
