One Spliff A Day..

One Spliff A Day..

A Poem by Nicole
"

Short, not too elaborate.

"
Clouded judgment so clear,
Hazy tears threaten to show.
Evil lurks, lights fade away.
Silence is salvation.

Close your eyes and open your mind.
See what is clear, but is never there.
Lack of oxygen isn't the problem,
Lack of being, is.

Evil lurks,
Hush up now.
It'll hear you,
Inhale and with no release.

If it be too much,
do not cower.
Nothing to be scared of,
Its only silence...

The remedy is to show no fear
Do not be scared.
Glossy eyes reveal it all.
One spliff a day, keeps the evil away.

I love this piece = very powerful - the emotions that it portrays = I had no knowledge of the word spliff - and the last stanza makes me feel very safe after the emotions that are sent through the remainder of the piece
