Where the Ceiling Meets the Wall

Where the Ceiling Meets the Wall

A Poem by Nicole Laszlo

Ghosts- take the form of shadows
Where the ceiling meets the wall
Silent-
Though I still hear their call
I turn the lights off
So if they're merely shadows
Then they may subside
It's when they don't
That I know for sure
It's ghosts that reside
Where the ceiling meets the wall

I like the honest tone in the words. Took the reader to private places and search for the shadows and the ghost of life. You create a place to find answers. Sweet or not. Thank you Nicole for sharing the excellent poetry.

i lived in a house where ceiling met the wall...the man who had built the house was a bricklayer...i rented from his widow who was in her 80's....she told me his ghost was in the house...i heard and felt his presence...but it was a calm presence, guessing on my part that he was glad someone was there to look after his Esther.

That's pretty cool. Also rather eerie. Thanks for sharing!
