Misery Wants Its Vengeance

Misery Wants Its Vengeance

A Poem by Nicole Renee

Let me break your face,
So I can pound it into dust!

I'm so sick of digesting

All of that you've done,
The damage that you've

Left for the innocence
Of the spoken whispers

That don't wander around

Your idoitic shadow.

I want to scream

And tear my hair out,

Wanting to be deaf at

The nonsense that I have to hear

From the actions that you have displayed.

So c'mon, let's get this on!

The fight will be so glorious to witness.

Author's Note

Nicole Renee
Urgh, I'm a little irritated because a friend of mine is mentioning some guy that's an asshole (trust me, he is) and it's bothering me. I'm sick of hearing about him and it's been a long time since she's mentioned him at all. Plus, I'm now generally irritated. Oh, Does the title fit and does the ending make sense?

The title and the poem do work very well together. (: Misery, essentially, wants vengeance against the person who made them miserable. You can definitely sense the anger in this piece and the fact that it's written like dialogue accents this anger, almost as though you were shouting to the person. Great job. (:
