Explanations Not Told

Mary Jane's POV on if she could have explained to Peter about her breaking up with him in the third movie.

 

I wish I could have

Explained why I did it,

Why I had torn our love apart

When Harry had confronted me,

Kissing me gently liked you used to

Until you become a ‘super star ’

In everybody else’s hearts all around.

I look back at the memory and I realize

That you had suddenly changed

Into a man that I couldn’t see anymore,
Blinding me with a dark web that

I was tangled up in with you laughing at my face.

My dreams were getting worse each night,

Terrorizing me into what I couldn’t do to you

Until Harry really talked me into it;

As though he wanted some sick revenge on you

For something that you hadn’t done.

So let me explain; let me inside your world again.
I know that you’re really the Peter Parker

That I used to care and love for;

The hero that caught my heart before

It fell into a black hole that would never

Escape from its wielded cage.

So please talk to me soon; I need you

To save me inside your web again.
