Pov of Hancock

 

Watching the world slowly
Turning upside down,

It makes me wonder if

Any life is still worth saving,

The destruction of how

You people wanted me to help

Brought me down to the bare bones

Of my pride and my soul.

I know that I should maybe

Disappear into my own little world

For a while right now behind these bars of mine

Until the world perishes once again,

Counting down the days with just

My only pain reliever; my Jack Daniels.

Counting down the days, counting down the days…

Then you’ll need me someday….

 

Author's Note

I want to see this movie so much. :] I had to read what it was about a bit to get in tune with what Hancock would be thinking (I kind of winged it at the end with the counting down the days thing... lol)

John Hancock is an unhappy, alcoholic superhero who is living in his own world. He has saved numerous lives in Los Angeles over the years, but in doing so has caused widespread property damage costing the city millions of dollars. The public has had enough of Hancock, and want him to either stop or move to another city.

Nice write. I wanted to see the movie before, but you made me REALLY want to see it now.
It sounds like you did a good job getting into his head.
