Simply Destroyed

Simply Destroyed

A Poem by Nicole Renee

Scared, frightened, LOST.
What's going on here?
The vision of the future is so blurry now,
So vexed and toyed with;
I have no idea what I'm going to do.
The blood is running through my
Body as I cry out screaming for
What should seem like nothing,
The vain of it all piercing my only vivid memories.
So as I hide in the blanket of my thoughts
I wonder this:
Am I your next target
To lash out at?
How am I supposed to show you
That throughout the mess of the already
Fresh claw marks on me,
I still care about you with all my heart
And don't want you to get lost
In the clouded storms of your vision,
Clinging on for dear life that we don't die.
..And I tried to see it through your eyes,
But all I saw was sadness, vain, and
Understandable facts are twisted all around.

So should I pray that everything will fine
Or should I be chewed on and spat out by you?

Author's Note

Nicole Renee
This is how I feel right now; I'm scared to lose my best friend over something that shouldn't be a big deal. We've been friends for about eight to possibly ten years now...and I know she's going through a lot of shit, which sucks...but so is everyone else in their own ways.

And I experimented with the text on here,by the way.
I hope my message goes through to everyone.

I like that you played around with the font and format. It added a little more emotion to the words as I read it. I hope that whatever you and your friend are going through, it works out. After being friends for so long, there really is no turning back, and I'm speaking from experiencing.

I hope all worked out with your friend. Your words were very well written, and actually reminds me of a love loss of my own. Thank you for sharing!

I like the raw feel to this. Not to say that I am not empathetic to the emotion behind it.

some of the most brilliant pieces in history were penned from this sort of passionate pain. Keep writing...you never know what may come of it.

Nice piece of writing….
Mixed emotions….
Arranged in an effective way…..
You have a very creative mind….
I will say…

The final two lines really were a kicker. The message is quite clear, it's not the first time I've lost a friend or two over petty quarrels , and I hope everything works out. great write.

So should I pray that everything will fine
Or should I be chewed on and spat out by you?

...everthing will( be) fine
...spat out by you
....and simply say I don't care.

Life is hard enough without having to pacify
temperamental friends in their moody outbreaks
ultimately it's up to you~

A great show of caring emotions and friendship~ "all's well that ends well"

hope everthing works out BTW~~loved the format and font
