Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Nicole West

Small decays

Of a life lived locked away

Waiting, ever waiting

Wishing…

You may go now, do now, start now, smile now

Brain rotting away

Time eating brain

Waiting, ever waiting

Wishing…

For The Knight On Shining White Horse

Tendrils of sadness

Curling around eyelashes soaked in gasoline

Light that match!

But

She hesitates...

Maybe I am not my past.

This one paused me... it is real and very understandable... and hurts like hell.
