My Baby Boy

My Baby Boy

A Poem by Nicole

I have a son who loves to play,

He's always getting into my art clay.

He walks around, looking for trouble,

The only he doesn't like are soap bubbles.

Getting dirty and playing in mud,

Let's go jump in a big puddle.

When you're done  you'll take a bath,

Share hugs and kisses then cuddle.

The other day he came to me,

His father brought me a plate,

and he brought me tea.

When they set it down on my lap,

He said to me,

"And I used a hammer on the omlets, Mommy."

I kissed his forehead then his pap.

My son might get crazy,

But he's still my baby.

I love my Johnny.

And he loves his Mommy.

Thank you for submitting this piece to my Contest. It's my first, so I'm still not sure how to do everything yet, but this is a very, very good piece of writing.
