So many sounds float throughout the world.
From the bangs of guns on the battlefields
To the melodies sung by a child with their friends.
But why doesn't anyone seem to care?
Doesn't anyone care about the children who are forgotten
Or about innocents who are silenced forever?
Doesn't anyone hear their pleas to be saved?
Their pleas to be heard?
No, no one ever seems to hear them,
No matter how loud they scream for someone to help.
Why can a nation hear the pleas of others,
But not the helpless pleas of their own?
Is it because they're oblivious to their own problems,
Or is it because they want to feel better about themselves?
Maybe they just can't hear us.
Maybe we should scream louder,
Shout out to them louder,
Or just have them see us as we are.
So I'll ask you this;

Can you stand to hear our pleas?

poetry is about tangents and a circles there is only one central idea here and i think thats the exact problem with your poem, there is more than one cause and more than one effect..... sorry to break the news to you child but there is such a thing called literary elements, im not trying to hurt you just guiding you so you can take the training wheels off

Why thank you! I was trying to find a way to vent how I saw the world has been acting. There have been troubles with America's economy, for example, but they try helping other nations before their own.

Thank you. I was trying to see if someone would see that as well as try to have everyone notice that, while yes there are other people in need of saving, we also have people in our own home who need to be helped too.
