The Creature

We were doing poems in my creative writing class, so here is a free verse one, with a creature from one of my larger books.

It just kinda stood there.

Rain stormed at it, but it just stood there.

Its long arms dangled down,

Almost to the point of touching the ground.

It was perched on the roof.

Just being emotionless.

It’s arms and hair swayed in the wind,

Creating an eerie sight for anyone who

Were to look upon it.

My curiosity got the best of me,

And i looked out the window.

It’s neck cracked at an angle,

It opened it bloodshot red eyes,

And stared deep into mine.
