Last Chances

Last Chances

A Poem by Nix
"

Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is to walk away.

"

Last chances

are for those who believe that things will change,

whilst those who don’t

are left wondering in the shadows

of those who do.

Your last chance will come,

when I have the strength to walk away

From someone who doesn’t.

Out of the shadows and into the light,

Never looking back.

This is a pretty poem, and very thought provoking. It seems like a struggle within, this desire for optimism in the face of potential pain or suffering. Wanting to be one of the people who can shake things off and walk away seemingly careless or carefree, but at the same time not wanting to give up on the belief of the power of love; the power of change.
Loved the phrase also of "Out of the shadows and into the light, Never looking back." That has a sense of power to it, for me anyway.
Nice job Nixie, as always.

'tis very true, though it is not that easy to let go and move on. One really has to muster courage to step back and walk away. It's one of life's realities that we have to deal with. A great write, Nix!

The strength it takes to walk away from someone that you love is unmeausred. The creativity in your poem is as such. Again another great write. I enjoyed finding you and your creativity. I must write now. Thanks!

"It's such a contradiction to love someone enough to walk away the curse of benediction is the pain that just won't go away" sometime making it the last chance and walking away is best for your or for the other person involved. This is a very relatable piece excellent write...

Very powerful Nixie. Its sad, but it also has a determination to walk away and find something better. "Out of the shadows and into the light, Never looking back" is a great line. Its got a touch of optimism im it despite the sorrowful feeling. I really like this.
