Rooftop

Rooftop

A Poem by Rosette Jewel
"

Based on true events.

"

the world

in all its filthy, horrific beauty

buzzes and hums underneath the soles

of our feet

and our souls

watch the other souls

the helpless, mortal souls below our pedestal

of history and brick and shingle

Engulfed, we are, in a could of whiskey

like gods

with monstrous kraken in the palms of our hands

And then when you speak through your kiss

I feel like a goddess

in the palms of your hands.

This is a really nice short poem. The imagery is amazing, "with monstrous kraken in the palms of our hands.." I really like this for some reason.. so dark and yet so beautiful.
The last 3 lines change in emotion too, from dark to light.. I hope this is about Will :3
also.. "in a could/Cloud you mean? of whiskey"
